Almost Alice (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Almost Alice is a collection of various artists' music inspired by Tim Burton's film, Alice in Wonderland. The album is also notable for featuring songs that were either inspired from quotes directly from Lewis Carroll's original novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. For example, both "The Lobster Quadrille" (by Franz Ferdinand) and "You Are Old, Father William" (by They Might Be Giants) are both word-for-word performances of poems from the original Alice as quoted by The Mock-Turtle (the former) and Alice herself to the Caterpillar (the latter). Furthermore, "Very Good Advice" by Robert Smith is a cover of Kathryn Beaumont's "Very Good Advice" from Disney's original animated version of Alice in Wonderland.

The album was released on March 2, 2010. It debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 US albums chart. On June 1, 2010, iTunes released a deluxe edition of the album. The lead single, "Alice" by Avril Lavigne is played during the end credits of Alice in Wonderland, and is the only song of the album featured in the film. It premiered on January 27, 2010 on the radio program On Air with Ryan Seacrest. The second single was the song "Tea Party" by Estonian pop singer Kerli. "Follow Me Down", a track from the album by 3OH!3 featuring Neon Hitch, has also been released as a single.

Keri Hilson - No Boys Alowed (Deluxe Edition)

No Boys Allowed is the second studio album by American recording artist Keri Hilson, first released on December 17, 2010 through Mosley Music and Zone 4 Records. On the album, Hilson is reunited with Timbaland and Polow da Don, who executively produced the album, as they did with her debut release. Hilson also worked with several other producers and songwriters, including Ne-Yo, John Legend, StarGate, Bei Maejor and Boi-1da, among others. Meanwhile, Chris Brown, Rick Ross, J. Cole, Nelly, Kanye West and Timbaland all have featured guest vocals. Musically, No Boys Allowed is an R&B album, which incorporates pop, soul, electro and dancehall into the songs.

The album received mixed reviews from most music critics, and peaked at number eleven on the U.S. Billboard 200, selling 102,000 copies in its first week. Although it sold 8,000 copies more than her debut album, In a Perfect World..., it failed to match that album's debut chart position of number four. No Boys Allowed also debuted on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart at number seven, and at number ten on the UK R&B Albums Chart. The album's lead single, "Breaking Point" was released in the United States on September 7, 2010 and peaked at number forty-four on the U.S. Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The second single, "Pretty Girl Rock", was released on October 12, 2010, and peaked within the top ten on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and the top fifteen in New Zealand.

While some DJs have become even more recognizable than the acts that they work with, that is not the case here. From the first note to the last, this collection of classic and 'essential' mixes will remind you of the majesty of the song and the artistry of the performer as well as the magic of the mix

Demi Lovato - Here We Go Again

Here We Go Again is the second studio album by American recording artist Demi Lovato, released on July 21, 2009, through Hollywood Records. Unlike her previous effort, Don't Forget (2008), Lovato did not enlist help from the Jonas Brothers as she wanted to work with different people and give the album a personal approach. She collaborated with established songwriters and producers such as E. Kidd Bogart, Gary Clark, Toby Gad, John Mayer, Jon McLaughlin and Lindy Robbins. The majority of the album was produced by John Fields, who helmed production on Don't Forget. Lovato penned a song called "For the Love of a Daughter" with The Academy Is... lead singer William Beckett about her relationship with her estranged father, but the subject was deemed too intense for her young audience, and it was removed from the album's track listing. The song was later passed on to her third studio album, Unbroken (2011).

Musically, Here We Go Again derives mainly from the genres of pop rock and power pop, mixed with influences of R&B and synthpop. Lovato wanted the album's music to be less rock and more mellow than her previous album, while exploring more mature sounds and lyrics. Critical reception of the album was positive; critics praised Lovato for not relying on vocal manipulations and instead showing off her natural ability. Although some critics called the album catchy, others felt that it was predictable and at times too much alike Kelly Clarkson. Here We Go Again sold 108,000 copies during its first week of release in the United States and debuted atop the Billboard 200. Since its release, the album has sold 450,000 copies in the US. Internationally, the album peaked inside the top 40 on charts in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Greece, Mexico, New Zealand and Spain.

Two singles were released from Here We Go Again. The title track was released in June 2009 and was Lovato's first solo single to crack the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 15. The album's second and final single, "Remember December", was released in international markets in January 2010 and managed to peak at number 80 on the UK Singles Chart, but failed to chart elsewhere. The album track "Gift of a Friend" was released as a promotional single in December 2009 due to its inclusion on the soundtrack for the animated film Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure. To further promote the album, Lovato embarked on her first headlining tour, Summer Tour 2009.
